Where the taps live. Long communal tables, so the people you came with aren't the only people you talk to.

Rockwood's beer garden, music hall, and event venue — built inside Edward Cofer's old body shop.
141 S. Front Street · Rockwood, Tennessee · Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Edward Cofer bought this building in 2005 and ran it as Cofer's Tire and Auto. If you came in for an oil change, he charged you half of what anyone else would, because that was the kind of man he was — he made sure everybody else was taken care of before himself.
When he passed in 2018, the building sat empty for the better part of four years. His son Jason couldn't bring himself to sell it. He couldn't figure out what to do with it either, until he started wondering what the garage could be instead of what it had been.
Jason and his family did most of the work themselves — the interior, the design, the woodwork in the fences out back. Cofer's Garage opened over Father's Day weekend in June 2023, which was not an accident.
Same bays. Same concrete. Same name over the door. Now it's where Rockwood comes to hear a band, meet a neighbor, and stand around a fire.

Where the taps live. Long communal tables, so the people you came with aren't the only people you talk to.

The stage, and room to stand in front of it. This is where the bands play and where the big nights happen.

Outside, out back. Patio chairs, fire pits, cornhole, ladder toss, and 6,000-plus square feet of reasons to stay for one more.
Draft and packaged, local and international, with a real focus on Tennessee-made and handcrafted brews. Plenty of standards, plenty of things you've never seen on a shelf, and yes, the infamous Garage Beer.
We don't brew it here. We just find the good stuff and pour it.
Not drinking? Underage? Neither is a problem. We keep RC Cola and Moon Pies on hand, and you're just as welcome.
Tap list changes constantly — Facebook and Instagram have what's pouring now.

The local music scene around here is better than it has any right to be, and The Main Garage exists to put it in front of people. Live music every Friday and Saturday, across just about every genre. You might walk out with a new favorite band.
The full lineup lives on our socials, and it moves fast.
There's no kitchen in this building and there isn't going to be. Instead, regional food trucks rotate through — the folks who are great at food get to be great at food, and we stick to what we're good at.

Birthdays, receptions, company parties, reunions, fundraisers — we host private events in The Main Garage and The Garden. Give us a call and tell us what you're thinking.
Our mobile beer trailer rolls with the Cofer's Garage name on the side — same taps, same crew, same no-nonsense pour. Weddings, festivals, concerts, corporate parties, reunions, and backyard celebrations all qualify.
We bring the trailer, the beer, and the setup. You bring the people and the occasion. Every rental includes a staffed tap and the kind of easygoing service that keeps the line moving and the crowd happy.
Availability fills up fast — call or email to reserve your date.
